About Todai-ji Temple
Home to the Great Buddha (Daibutsu), a 15-meter-tall bronze statue housed in the world's largest wooden building. The temple's sheer scale is humbling — the Buddha's hand alone is larger than a person. The deer in nearby Nara Park, considered sacred messengers, will bow for deer crackers.
