A magnificent wooden temple perched on a hillside in eastern Kyoto, supported by hundreds of wooden pillars without a single nail. The vast wooden stage offers panoramic views of Kyoto and the surrounding cherry and maple trees. The Otowa Waterfall below has three streams said to grant health, longevity, and success.
